1000 Year Old Food Club Inaugural Event

Join me for the first meeting in what I hope will become a vibrant community--a club devoted to the exploration of forgotten foods, the methods of preparing food, mostly by fermentation, that were part of the knowledge and culture of every generation up until our own.Menu: Appetizer: yogurt + viili (Scandinavian type of 'thick' yogurt) + kefir (Eastern European type of carbonated yogurt drink), with fruit and honey; Stewart's Sourdough bread w/ raw butter Main: Amish raw milk, more bread with meats such as headcheese, tongue, and for the squeamish, sausages like chorizo, mortadella, nduja. Accompany this with sauerkraut and raw milk cheese. Dessert: single origin dark & dark milk chocolate and homebrew beer.
